The château takes its name from the ancient Ancezune family, closely linked to the history of the Lordship of Caderousse. Its stone walls, vaulted ceilings, and unique atmosphere reflect a rich medieval heritage that has endured through the centuries. Staying here offers the opportunity to experience a place steeped in history in the heart of Provence.

The Knight’s Suite has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 3 guests.

Carefully restored, the château now combines the authentic charm of its historic stonework, vaulted architecture, and handcrafted ironwork with modern comforts, including air conditioning throughout the property.

• A lounge area with a 140 cm sofa bed suitable for one additional guest and a television
• A private bathroom with shower and toilet
• A fully equipped kitchen with authentic character (hob, small refrigerator, storage space, cookware, and filter coffee machine)

The History of the Château

Located in the heart of the historic village of Caderousse, between Orange and Avignon, this château has witnessed nearly nine centuries of history. Once the residence of the Ancezune family, Lords of Caderousse, it still retains all the charm and authenticity of its medieval past.

According to local archives, several French monarchs are believed to have stayed here over the centuries, including King Francis I in 1524, King Henry III in 1575, and King Louis XIII in 1622.
